What is High-Definition Television (HDTV)?
HDTV delivers the most vivid visual quality and digital sound. A traditional analog TV has 525 lines of resolution in a 4:3 format, HDTV's have up to 1080 lines of resolution in a 16:9 (wide screen) format. HDTV gives you the most clarity, the most detail, the most life-like programming available.
What do I need to get HDTV?
First, you need to visit a television retailer to purchase an HD-ready television if you don't already own one. Then, you'll need an Everest HDTV or HD Digital Video Recorder set-top box. Your HDTV set-top box will enable you to receive local HDTV channels, the Everest HDTV Tier as well as any premium subscription HD channels.
